GoodLeap’s GoodGrid – ConnectedSolutions

Program Overview and Compensation Information

Overview

GoodLeap’s GoodGrid® is a virtual power plant (VPP) program that supports the reliability and resiliency of the electric grids in certain northeastern states electric grid by coordinating eligible home batteries during periods of high demand.

If you have a home battery that is already subject to a GoodLeap lease or power purchase agreement (a “Lease” or “PPA”), GoodGrid may enable your battery to participate in grid support events, consistent with the rights and authorizations already provided under your existing agreement. Participation in GoodGrid does not change your Lease or PPA or your obligation to make payments as described in those agreements. GoodLeap does not obtain any new rights to your battery or data through GoodGrid.

GoodLeap Lease and PPA customers may be eligible to receive compensation associated with their battery’s participation in GoodGrid, subject to the conditions described below.

How GoodGrid Works

GoodGrid connects eligible home batteries to grid programs to help balance electricity supply and demand within the ConnectedSolutions program.

When grid conditions require additional support, enrolled batteries may export energy to the grid or reduce net load, while maintaining backup power availability for outages in accordance with battery settings and system constraints.

GoodLeap may receive compensation from ConnectedSolutions or other market participants for facilitating battery participation in these programs. Any customer-facing compensation is subject to ConnectedSolutions program terms and availability.

ConnectedSolutions Disclosure

ConnectedSolutions is an independent third-party program administered by regional utilities and other market participants. ConnectedSolutions does not operate, sponsor, or control the GoodLeap GoodGrid program.

GoodLeap is solely responsible for the operation of GoodGrid, including battery enrollment, dispatch coordination, eligibility determinations, customer communications, and any compensation that may be offered through GoodGrid. ConnectedSolutions is not a party to your GoodLeap Lease or PPA and is not responsible for GoodGrid participation, performance, payments, or customer support.

Enrollment and Participation

If you have a GoodLeap Lease or PPA with an eligible home battery and you are already enrolled with an eligible electric service provider and an eligible plan, your battery may be included in GoodGrid automatically, consistent with your existing agreement.

If you have a GoodLeap Lease or PPA but are not with an eligible electric service provider or do not have an eligible plan, and an eligible plan is available in your area, GoodLeap may contact you with information about available plans. Enrollment with a participating electric service provider is optional, and choosing not to enroll does not affect your Lease or PPA.

If you believe you are eligible but have not been contacted, you may email VPPadmin@GoodLeap.com for additional information.

Potential Compensation (ConnectedSolutions Only)

GoodGrid participants who are enrolled with a participating ConnectedSolutions electric provider on an eligible plan may be eligible to receive up to $50 per month per qualifying battery, subject to the Terms and Conditions below and the applicable electric provider agreement. Participants with multiple batteries may be eligible for additional compensation based on usable capacity increments of 9.7 kWh.

Depending on electric provider’s terms, this compensation could total up to $600 per year per qualifying battery during the applicable electric service provider contract term.

Compensation, availability, amount, and duration depend on the electric provider and are not guaranteed. GoodLeap does not guarantee that compensation will continue beyond the term of the applicable electric provider agreement or that similar programs will be available in the future.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to receive compensation, all of the following must apply:

  • You must be enrolled in a GoodGrid-compatible energy plan with a participating ConnectedSolutions electric provider for the service address where the battery is located.

  • The battery must have a completed interconnection application and remain in compliance with all applicable interconnection requirements.

  • To participate, a battery must generally have at least 9.7 kWh of usable capacity. A single Enphase 5P does not meet this requirement.

  • Your GoodLeap account associated with the battery, and your electric service provider account, must both remain in good standing.

  • You must be at least 18 years of age.

  • The electric service provider account holder must also be a party to the GoodLeap agreement that includes the battery.

GoodLeap may determine eligibility for compensation based on these criteria and applicable electric service provider and ConnectedSolutions program requirements. Program availability may change, and GoodLeap reserves the right to discontinue offering compensation if participation or program rules change.

Compensation Conditions

  • Compensation eligibility generally applies for the same term as your applicable electric service provider agreement (typically 18–24 months).

  • Compensation may begin after all eligibility requirements are met and may continue only while those requirements remain satisfied and a participating electric service provider plan remains available.

  • GoodLeap does not guarantee compensation beyond the term of the applicable electric service provider agreement.

  • Eligible participants may receive up to $50 per month per qualifying battery, with additional amounts based on incremental usable capacity as described above.

  • Except as expressly described here or in your electric service provider agreement, you will not receive additional compensation from GoodLeap for GoodGrid participation.

  • You are responsible for all costs associated with charging, operating, and maintaining your battery, including electricity costs.

  • You are not eligible to receive GoodGrid compensation if your battery is simultaneously enrolled in another virtual power plant or similar grid services program.

Opt-Out and Termination of Compensation

You may opt out of eligibility to receive GoodGrid compensation at any time by no longer participating in a qualifying electric service provider plan or by contacting GoodLeap.

If GoodLeap terminates your eligibility to receive compensation due to program changes or eligibility requirements, GoodLeap will provide notice to the email address associated with your account.

Privacy and Data

Your privacy and data rights are governed exclusively by your existing GoodLeap agreement, applicable privacy policies, and your electric service provider agreement. GoodGrid does not change how GoodLeap collects, uses, or shares your information.
